Descent to valley (to 1100 m)

Everything that is not north is slowly fading. Up to 2000m there is nothing more to be gained. On the north side and up to Trübsee a good skiable base that will last a little longer if you want to get down the Steinberg. Valley descent still open

Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow
Jelly snow

Everything that already had a track in it was hard and not usable off-piste. Steinberg with a bit of wind and blown in. Fun up to the halfway point, then it becomes training for next season. Turning gap at 300m usable powder that turns seamlessly into a crust.

Risks

East

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

Snow was transported with the rising wind. Especially above 2500m, as there is nothing powdery underneath.

Overall impression

Equal

Nice spring ski day with a detour into the backcountry. Made a few good turns in the terrain and bolted a bit down the slopes. Good snow can only be found in a narrow altitude band. Still good.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
