Snow condition
Due to the high starting point, there were no problems with the snow conditions today. In the meantime, most of the terrain traps in the alpine terrain are well snowed in. Due to the constant influence of the wind this season, the snow conditions are still very inhomogeneous. You should look for ski tours that are reasonably sheltered from the wind.
Snow quality
In the cirque there was about 20 cm to 25 cm of set powder snow, the old snow cover was not noticeable. After the cirque, with the influence of the sun and wind, there was a mix of powder, hard snow cover, a kind of firn and a few turns in broken snow. As the cirque was the main skiing destination, we still have three stars.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Quite a relaxed ski tour today. Accumulations of drift snow (near and far from the crest) were easy to recognize and avoid.
Overall impression
Nice day of touring in perfect weather and wintry temperatures. There have never been more ice climbers than ski tourers at the parking lot this season.
