Snow condition

Despite the considerable amount of fresh snow that has fallen today (at least 50 cm more), it is still not possible to turn without worries in areas where the wind is up to mischief. The situation is different at lower altitudes - a solid base with occasional wood contact in the forest.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Despite the forecast wind, the snow fell this morning without any breeze. It was correspondingly unpleasant when the previous tracks were only rudimentary on every descent and then A) the forecast wind arrived in the early afternoon and B) it got warmer and the snow got a bit heavier below 1600 m (whining on a high level).

Risks

In the morning there was a lot of fresh snow in the steeper terrain and sometimes a bit of sliding, in the forest there were no signs of avalanches spoiling the game. Now that the wind has joined in, with 70 cm of fresh snow and wind speeds of up to 30 m/s forecast for tomorrow.... the only question is whether to go to the casino or head off-piste.....

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Definitely the best day here in Laax for a week.

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
