Judging is only done up to 1800 m - we didn't get out any higher today. But here we had to use the ascent track again for the descent as otherwise we would not have been able to make any progress.
Snow quality
You notice the enormous amounts of precipitation and the temperatures around freezing point. Fluffy - but not cold.
Risks
Critical. Today, our measuring station indicated a top speed of 136 km/h. Plus a good 50 cm of fresh snow today - an explosive mixture. Even the snow patrol was on duty in the valley today.
Overall impression
Potential is there. The amount of snow is huge, I'm curious to see what tomorrow will bring.
