We've been here in Laax for 8 days now and the sun has been shining every day since we arrived. 8 days of sunshine, temperatures above freezing at an altitude of 2500 m - the math is simple. The terrain is excellent for following contours, streams and pasture fences offer variety in the parallel turn rhythm and the odd stone peeks out of the now rather sparse snow cover.
Snow quality
Plenty of sunshine during the day, warm temperatures, just below zero at night. It feels like we're at the end of the season and we're planning accordingly.
Risks
Not much snow, well packed. Objectively and subjectively hardly any dangers.
Overall impression
The current conditions have nothing to do with mid-January. Snowfall is urgently desired.
