Unten Weltwirtschaftsgipfelwahnsinn, oben friedlicher Sundowner

Snow condition
The snow conditions are ok, it's easy to ski down to Davos (1,560). The main exposure was west on the descent. The rocks are mostly well covered with snow, only on the ridges is it quite poor
Snow quality
Mostly good. The little powder there is (about 15 cm) is loose, airy and cold. No ground contact. Now the BUT, unfortunately the wind has worked on a solid cover in places.
Risks
To be honest, I was a little surprised. I hadn't expected such a difficult situation. I simply wasn't used to it from the past few weeks. There are definitely accumulations of drift snow in places. These are rather small, but can be enough to flush you over rocks and are easy to trigger.
Overall impression
It really was a wonderfully peaceful sundowner over the rooftops of Davos when I think about the WEF helicopter noise. The snow was good and the accumulations of drift snow reminded me again that the avalanche situation can also change.
