Chummerhürli without sorrow but with joy! A morning tour...

Snow condition
Of course it's not enough, but it's not too bad yet. When the daytime temperatures rise, the south-facing slopes will soon snow out. Above the tree line, the snow distribution is influenced by the wind, alternating between blown-off patches and filled hollows.
Snow quality
Steep, south-facing slopes have a non-load-bearing crust in the morning and by midday there is glob. A few degrees flatter or a little more north-facing exposure and the top 10-20cm are soft and the snow moves quickly. There are huge frost crystals to marvel at.
Risks
There are old snowboards to be seen. Even though we didn't have any boom today, the situation should certainly not be underestimated. Be sure to read the situation report. The first wet loose snow avalanches are appearing on steep south-facing slopes.
Overall impression
Great tour, great weather, great visibility: that's what you can do in the morning. With skillful use of the map and aerial photo, you can still find good skiable snow. Excellent ski touring weather is forecast for the near future, and unfortunately no snowfall...
