Skitouren am Flüelapass: "[Snow is] like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get".

Snow condition
From approx. 2200m, a reasonable base is widely available. Below that, it looks tight - the vegetation comes through quickly. Further up, the snow depth varies greatly, as the wind has redistributed the snow at its own discretion.
Snow quality
Forrest Gump already knew that life (in the mountains) can be like a box of chocolates. At the moment, the snow quality could hardly be more varied, but unfortunately the best powder chocolates have become rare. If you have a good eye for micro-exposures, you will still find enjoyable powder between windharsch (widespread) and schmelzharsch (sunny side/steep below 2400m).
Risks
The old snow problem is probably still present, as there is no sign of a sufficiently thick covering. With the strong southerly wind, some snow was also transported and you could watch the snow packs grow.
Overall impression
All in all, it wasn't quite enough for 3 stars because the enjoyable turns could be counted on one hand. However, you hardly need to count the stone contacts any more. Let's hope that the winter box of chocolates still has one or two sweet surprises in store.
