Snow condition

2 von 5 Sterne

The fresh snow from last week and this week has significantly improved the snow conditions, but it is still thin. At altitudes above 2000, the wind has shifted the snow very irregularly. Stone contact in rough boulder slopes cannot be ruled out.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

If there was little wind, the snow is soft. Otherwise the full program of wind shaping again. Crusty on the sunny side below 2200 m, difficult to ski further down.

Risks

The Föhn storm formed brittle snow packs during the course of the day. The one spontaneous slab was large, hard slabs. Not too old deposits from avalanches could be observed. Still insidious old snow situation with drift snow...

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

It was quiet on the mountain, except for the wind. There were few tracks in the soft snow, probably because one or two stones were still showing through. Actually a great half-day tour, unfortunately we set off too late and got caught in the gathering clouds.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
