Generally good snow conditions in the Lower Engadine. There is enough snow in the valleys to be able to ski in all exposures. The higher you go up, the more the wind was in play. Exposed ridges and ridges have been blown down a lot.

Snow quality

You can still find settled powder on wind-protected slopes. Generally speaking - for north-facing slopes - the more towards the valley, the better the snow quality. Slowly heavier where the sun came in from midday.

Risks

We didn't see anything on our tour so far. As the wind was raging in the heights, we opted for a defensive tour with hilly terrain. South-facing slopes started to rumble at midday.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Beautiful ski touring terrain, no one on the way and the snow was much better than expected, so we skinned up again at the bottom and did half the tour again.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
