Glaciers seem to be well snow-covered, but compared to other winters and for altitudes up to 3000m, not much. There were also rockfalls, and sometimes the wind raged and blew rocks free. All in all, however, ok with a sensible choice of route. On the last day there was enough snow to reach the valley, which was also important...

On Tuesday 10cm of wet fresh snow, quite warm overall. There was everything between settled powder and ice karst, but most of the skiing was on wind-pressed snow.

Risks

Strong winds for three days, with gusts of 30kmh in between. Therefore blown-in slopes and self-triggered cornices. Loose snow cones to the south, on the valley descent at the tree line some ground snow avalanches from north-facing slopes with little snow.

Great mountain experience, all fresh tracks, beautiful huts. My highlight of the season so far.
