Snow report Grisons, 03/03/2017
Ski tour St. Antönienen to the Girenspitz in a severe storm
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
In the lower part, the first section after leaving the winter path to Partnun, it could soon become narrow. Further up, as in the whole area, quite ok.
Snow quality
The wind was brutal, always impressive when it simply knocks down light people. Almost firny on the south side, still best here. When we got back to the parking lot, it rained briefly. Windpress at the top, sulz at the bottom.
Risks
The tour was the maximum that was possible. The lifts were probably all closed anyway due to the wind. At the top there was extreme drifting, further down the snow cover was wet, which was not without its problems.
Overall impression
There will definitely still be snow after the storm. Altscheedecke was solid up to the top, even though whole clods flew through the air today. Nothing was missed today. 1-2 total
