As everywhere in the Swiss Alps, above average here too. On the Rothorn, many entrances are possible completely without rock contact. In contrast to other routes, some routes from the Rothorn can be completed without much additional effort, such as further ascents.

Snow quality

Already pleasant. Here and there, however, the old crust is still scratching, but there's not much fresh snow, just 5-7.5 cm. So not all the bumps and tracks are completely covered yet.

Risks

Favorable for steeper stuff and more exposed lines. Generally no activity observed except for a small spontaneous slide on the north side in the form of sluff.

Overall impression

It took a while, I first had to pay the price of a day pass plus parking ticket to be able to really enjoy the FIrstlines on the Rothorn. But then it was certainly one of the best runs of the winter. So three to four.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
