Spring cruising in the Arosa ski area
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Good for the time of year, with a little care you can even get down to Arosa in the forest. Brüggerhorn already has quite a lot of untracked sections, but the lift is not running anyway.
Snow quality
In the morning, the lifts at the top were closed due to a storm, so we only had one pass for the lower part of the area (maximum 2100m). Snow was soaked and difficult to ski in the morning. The piste was quite good until about one, then too wet.
Risks
Nothing observed apart from warming. At midday today there was a loud rumbling noise several times, which I assume came roughly from the direction of Litzirüti.
Overall impression
Nice day on the slopes, just far too warm. Park is still well maintained and offers something for all ability levels. The ski area closes on 10.4. The snow conditions mean that piste tours could still be possible after that.
