It's just about okay. The ski area has been closed for some time, but the pistes and forest trails, which were still groomed at the time, are still open all the way up. We had to unbuckle once on the descent, but you often have to turn around the patches of grass. From the second lift (1862m) onwards, there was a continuous blanket of snow.

Too warm at night (6 degrees at the parking lot at 6:45 am), too little sun in the morning for firn. Overnight, a few centimeters of snow formed next to the groomed slopes, which broke up on the ascent and descent. The sun didn't get through the high fog early in the morning, so the snow wasn't soft (we were back at the car at half past ten, after that it was certainly better). We then crossed over to the originally groomed slope and had a relatively pleasant descent.

Risks

Also too warm. I skied a section on the summit slope where there were cracks in the snow cover - I was very glad when I got through it safely. Apart from that, we were early enough and only small slides were visible from the last few days. In the area towards Amselflue, Schiesshorn etc. there were many new chutes in various exposures this afternoon.

Nice tour, nothing out of the ordinary. The end-of-season feeling is nice as long as you can assume that it will still be going for a while somewhere else
