yes, there is not much left. from a few high side valleys and the passes, you can still start directly from about 2100m on the north side.
Snow quality
dream firn. rarely found so perfect. silky soft, homogeneous, smoothly smeared butter, first cream. powder is a shit in comparison. ok, maybe not quite, but with such a firn you almost forget the powder.
Risks
spring conditions, so pretty safe.
Overall impression
a long-cherished dream on a remote mountain came true. i have already failed there twice. despite the lousy northern winter, i was able to write day 96 in the snow. maybe the 100 days since the beginning of the season will still be enough...the passes are waiting...
