Snow condition
I would describe it as average for this time of year. Neither particularly little, nor a crazy amount. However, ski tours are still perfectly possible, without any rock contact and directly from the parking lot (approx. 2,000 meters)
Snow quality
Typical early summer conditions, descent around 10.30, above 2,300 perfect early summer snow, below that already very wet in places. Start early and time the descent just right
Risks
Relaxed when the strong diurnal warming is taken into account. In some places, older cracks from the previous snowfall and the associated weak layer can still be seen.
Overall impression
Perfect, a fantastic ski touring weekend. It's amazing that I saw so many ski tourers in the region, some of whom I hadn't seen all winter...but that's probably also because the choice of ski tours is now very limited. Our age generation is probably more likely to be on their bikes, on the rocks or somewhere else...incomprehensible, as the ski touring conditions are fantastic at the moment. Besides, you might meet one of these relaxed pensioners on the summit and drink a glass of wine together
