Snow condition
With the new snow that has fallen (approx. 20 cm), a largely closed snow cover has now formed, with only a few stones sticking out. This means that you can theoretically surf without touching the ground
Snow quality
The fallen snow was still nice and fluffy this morning, but increasingly heavier as the day warmed up. But still good above 2,000 meters.
Risks
I don't want to declare a danger level here, just keep your eyes open and think about what has happened in the last few weeks. The picture says it all...., from spontaneous releases and remote triggering, everything was there today. There are also more and more wind loads to be observed.
Overall impression
A beautiful winter's day, just the way we like it. However, we're still carrying the legacy of the last few weeks around with us for a while, so our choice of route should be accordingly passive. Winter at last and this is just the beginning :-)
