Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne

Due to the südstau there is enough snow here in the Nockberge mountains and today it started to snow again, some perfect snowflakes fell.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

The uppermost layer is soft, with a firmer layer underneath. 10 to 15 cm of the uppermost layer form clods, with a layer underneath that is not well bonded. Despite the cold temperatures, the snow is not quite as light and fluffy as you would expect, and here on the Falkert the snow cover is wind-worked on the surface in a north-westerly direction.

Risks

The rating of 2 or above the tree line 3 given in the situation report sounds absolutely plausible, and due to the poor visibility caused by the fog it was difficult to form an opinion.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

A nice day on and off the slopes of the Falkert, with lots of enjoyable turns on flat terrain.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
