Sonntagstour "Corona-Style"
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Snow conditions now perfectly adequate for off-piste ski tours. Only the backs and ridges above the tree line are blown off. In the forest, everything is actually skiable without ground contact. Half a meter more and the mountain pine slalom will be less.
Snow quality
Below 1400m: Where the sun came yesterday, it froze tonight and the hordes (with and without skis) berserked up and down tracks through the forest, sometimes rather demanding to ski (and climb) and not so suitable for beginners...Above 1400m: in the (wind) shade super snow quality with little contact to the hard surface. You just have to find it. Along the standard downhill run, a rather rutted mountain pine slalom. Where the wind could attack, compacted, but easy to ski and not icy.
Risks
No problems on the west side on our tour. The 2 is fine. We wanted to enter a basin on the northeast side for a few extra meters. However, we decided against it due to the heavy load on the ridge coming from the southwest. It looked quite loaded and the cornices over the northeast were also impressive.
Overall impression
The ski touring winter is now underway and you can tell. As current weekend warriors, we started unusually early and didn't regret it. After 8 a.m., the parking spaces were probably already overcrowded and we were glad to be on the road before the hordes. It's funny that one of the three parking spaces wasn't cleared despite the crowds being announced. Everything got out of the way on the mountain. So after an ice-cold, extremely windy climb to the summit, we had a really fun descent with a snack in the sun at the bottom.
Whoever recognizes: Be careful on the direct descent, it pulls you slightly through the mountain pines to the left towards the powder. However, there is a game reserve there.
