Too thin for the time of year. If you drive past the first mountain range, you will at least make it down to the valley unscathed.
Snow quality
We were heading north today, which was the wrong choice. Even in the shadiest cirques of the Karwendel there is broken snow up to 2000m. I recommend giving the firn a chance on the sunny side or sliding down Sulzbuckel.
Risks
Increasingly wet loose snow slides can be observed - and probably soon also wet slab avalanches and sliding snow slides.
Overall impression
The second star is because it was a beautiful tour in the best weather in lonely terrain. From a skiing point of view, it was nothing today. I'm afraid next weekend I'll have to use my mountain bike, climbing rope or copious amounts of beer.
