Despite the January snowfall, it is slowly thinning out in the lower areas to the south. No problems on the north side.
Snow quality
10-15 centimeters of fresh snow on an even layer of old snow, which, depending on the exposure, was either pressed powder or a damp, soft surface. Mostly easy to walk and great for downhill skiing, especially on steeper shaded slopes.
Risks
clear signs of wind above the tree line. However, the thickness of the drifting snow was quite low on the one hand and well connected by the temperatures on the other. On the east side, if I saw it correctly, a fresh wet snow slide was triggered by a skier.
Overall impression
Achensee panorama on a sunny day and a great descent to boot. What more could you want.
