You can get to the snow in 20 minutes from the train station in Mittenwald. Descents in the forest are not practical for the most part

if you are looking for powder snow in the Viererkar, you won't find it anymore. you have to go very high up and on the north side to find powder.

Viererkar and Dammkar have very variable snow conditions. There is hardly any powder left, but there is a lot of broken snow and it is icy. from midday onwards, the danger of avalanches from wet snow should not be underestimated. below the Tiefkarspitze a few avalanches have come down in the last few days and not everything has been emptied yet
