Overall impression

I cycled from the valley station up to approx. 2200m just behind the Sommerbergalm. I left the bike there and walked up to the Tuxer Fernerhaus, then strapped on my skis and walked a few more meters. The road up to the Fernerhaus is free of snow. From there, the piste is groomed throughout with extensive snow fields even beyond the edge of the piste. Even at 1 pm, the snow was still nice and slushy to ski on without pricking. Apart from me, there were almost exclusively racing teams on site, and the gondola was empty from 9 am onwards during my ascent. The slopes are very limited in the lower part as many are groomed. Off-piste it was hardened with a few sun-softened cm, the slope was slushy but still nice to ride. All in all good for a June tour, but the way to the snow is exhausting if you don't want to pay for a ski pass and want to support summer skiing for environmental reasons :)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
