25 cm fresh snow

Probably the highest level of snow on the glaciers. Crevasses well snowed in, bergschrund barely visible. Good snow conditions on the wall. Only the rock bar at the bottom of the wall is becoming increasingly difficult due to the receding glacier. On the far lookers right there is a 20m passage that is as wide as a ski to slide down. Up to the bivouac there is almost no snow, in the descent it goes down a little further in the stream bed.

Powder snow

Fantastic powder on the wall. The only drawback of 5 days of snowfall without wind is that a few loose snow gullies have formed where the snow is a little harder. Further down, there is a mixture of different types of snow. On the east side a light cover, on the west side from the Griesscharte down firn. Then swamp.

Diurnal warming
North North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Snowfall completely without wind. Watch out for sluff. Wet snow during the course of the day.

Steep face weekend in Pfitschtal. Saturday: continuous ascent of the Hochferner north face. And while we were there, we also climbed the Hochfeiler north face on Sunday. Super conditions on the north face! Unfortunately, it's slowly coming to the end of the season in Tirol.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
