Snow condition

From Monday evening until today, another 15 cm have fallen. Heavy precipitation set in after midday. At 1500 m there was rain again and again at the beginning. The fresh snow was wet and only became lighter with time. Around 2 p.m., the snow line was at around 1050 m.

Snow quality

The snow was compact until midday and where it wasn't tracked it was quite ok to ski. With the arrival of the front, the snow became very wet below 1600 m and the fun factor was manageable.

Risks

Very strong winds above the tree line with the arrival of the front. The heavy snowfall was transported on a massive scale. Moisture input at lower elevations. Drift snow and wet snow will dominate tomorrow.

Unfortunately it was too warm with the arrival of the front. We were hoping for low temperatures and powder turns in good snow in the afternoon. Tomorrow we have to be careful!!!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
