It will soon be back to where it was last week, especially if it stays as warm as today. After all, you can usually ski down to approx. 1,200m on the south side without any problems.

Yesterday afternoon we had blue skies and then a clear, cold night. Heading south again today, the sun quickly softened some of the broken snow on the way up. What looked exhausting on skis was very nice to ride on a snowboard. But was already pretty soft at 10am and was glad not to be out later.

Risks

Today, the numerous snow slabs in the steep terrain from yesterday were clearly visible. Almost all the steep slopes seem to have been avalanched, at least on the south side. At around 9:30, the first avalanches came down from the rocks on the Mandlwand.

Very nice but short tour with good spring conditions.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
