Snow report Hochkönig, 04/11/2016
We actually wanted to climb the Hochkönig through the Birgkar. We set off at 6 a.m., it was freezing but no real cover had formed. At half past 8 the sun came into the cirque, about 15 minutes later the little cover of snow was history and we were standing in the sulz

You can ski down to the car except for a few off-piste sections, but the snow conditions are really bad compared to other years and it will probably not last long...

In the sun from 08:00 Sulz, hard on the shaded side but often not load-bearing...
Risks
The main problem is the temperature; avoid steep, sunny slopes.
Overall impression
Najo, at least we were outside and the gutter wasn't that bad.
