Snow condition
The snow conditions are good. The damage caused by the brief foehn storm was surprisingly limited. Streams and forest paths are now quite well snowed in. Some quite untypical drifts can be found from time to time. Today we were mainly out and about in the meadows on the lee side.
Snow quality
Surprisingly good! There is about 20 cm of fairly light powder snow on a compact base. No penetration on a hard base! Up to approx. 1100 m it's really great, below that the snow becomes a bit more compact "thanks" to temperatures around freezing point. As the music mainly played higher up, 4 stars.
Risks
Very difficult to assess due to the poor visibility. However, the atypical drifts should be a warning signal for higher destinations. We deliberately opted for moderately steep meadow slopes today. There was a bit of sleet in today's precipitation.
Overall impression
Arrived without great expectations and found surprisingly decent conditions. Unfortunately, the poor visibility spoiled the fun a little.
