Snow condition

20 cm fresh snow

Blown backs

Stone Contact avoidable

The snow conditions are ok, but not great. From Rangger Köpfl towards Rosskogel you can see some large stones and even the smaller ones are only lightly covered with snow in places. In gullies and hollows the snow conditions are much better and in the meadow terrain from Brechten almost everything is skiable without contact with mountain pines.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Really good snow in places in the north sector, but sometimes influenced by the wind and therefore not super powder snow. The fact that it's been a while since the last snowfall means that you can also notice changes in the snow cover. Everything to the east or south has a light cover, which can be difficult to ski. On the west side, many slopes have been blown off and are almost but.

Wind drifted snow

North North-Eas East North-West

Intensity: low

Altitude: 700 m – 4800 m

Risks

North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

According to LWD Tirol, the main problems are currently drift snow and old snow. This can be confirmed especially close to the crest and should be kept in mind when assessing individual slopes.

Super tour day today. First gondola up to Rangger Köpfl, from there to Rosskogel via the ridge. As the classic east gully had already seen 10 freeriders yesterday or the day before, we decided to take the direct north gully down to the Inzinger Alm. The start requires about 20 m of climbing/descending, but is easily doable. There is enough snow in the gully and the quality is good. From the Inzinger Alm, another ascent to Brechten with beautiful skiing terrain and good snow. Then back to the ski area for the bonus descent on the piste. All in all, unfortunately 0 hours of sun instead of the forecast 8 hours. But I did a lot for my legs and had a lot of fun.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
