Powder dreams in Grindelwald
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
30-40cm from 2200m above sea level, surprisingly more fresh snow at this altitude than expected, below 1800m it still needs some snow, but the valley runs are still good to ski.
Snow quality
30-40cm thanks to the cold temperatures, -13 at 2000m above sea level, Selkirk powder like in Revelstoke, hard to beat at the moment...
Risks
Moderate, practically no wind loads...
Overall impression
Certainly the best powder day in Grindelwald so far (the photos speak for themselves...), not much going on early in the morning...so it was worth it to ride the first variants, from midday onwards, as usual, everything was off-piste, which is nice that so many people are out in nature over the holidays.
Next week there will be some fresh snow again and thanks to the cold temperatures, the snow will stay top, happy turns...
