At last there was something again, at least for the eyes. But there's not much snow yet. The S-slopes were green up to 1500 m. Above that, hard snow. The Grindel, Mettlen and Männlichen valley runs are open. The fresh snow overnight was very unevenly distributed. There was about 15cm on the First. It was particularly bumpy on the south side. It was much better on Männlichen and the Lauberhorn. But the Schilthorn got the most. (approx. 30cm).

The snow quality was very good. fluffy, powdery, not wind-pressed. Just not enough, you can feel the base in places, especially in the eastern Jungfrau region and on the S slopes.

Risks

In my opinion, the critical amount of fresh snow was not reached as there was little wind. However, small slabs of snow could be found in steep places. The conditions are basically favorable.

More is needed, no question. But at least it was a start.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
