Snow report Jungfrau Region, 01/21/2018
No Snow no Show
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Slippery snow well below average in the valley at around 1000m, virtually no skiing possible. There was plenty of fresh snow at altitudes above 2000m, but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to take a closer look.
Snow quality
Unfortunately, we didn't get to ski in the wind-blown fresh snow from around 1800m, but the pictures were promising. Icy remnants of snow underneath.
Risks
The loaded drift snow accumulations have made a very dangerous impression. The new bulletin speaks volumes.
Overall impression
Started off in good spirits with the statement that more would slowly open up and took the train to Kleine Scheidegg. Shortly before Salzeck we went back again. There was virtually no snow underneath, so we returned home to the Black Forest.
