Grindelwald-First
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Between 1500 and 1600 rain grooves (Bort station up to the tree line on the ridge side) below and above very nice, spring-like conditions. The valley runs are very nice to ski despite the rain.
Snow quality
Spring-like conditions, stable cover or partly slush in the late afternoon, on the east side you can still find powder snow
Risks
Tendency to moderate, cautious in areas close to the crest!
Overall impression
Most of the variants on Kleine Scheidegg and First have been skied in the last few days. But with a bit of walking, you can find some great descents again, especially around the First. Crampons may also be recommended. With the coming beautiful weather, powder snow is not on the cards for once, but the scenery is simply world class, happy turns, Rinaldo Borra, mountain guide, Grindelwald
