There is a lot of snow. At 2000m there is over 2m of snow. At 1600m it is 120 cm (measuring station). At 1200m still about 80cm and at 900m still about 40cm. well set. many layers.

On the north side, the powder is still very light and of the best quality. However, the sunny slopes are already rotten and there will probably be a coarse crust tomorrow.

Risks

The layers are relatively well connected and the slopes in the ski area looked safe to me. The last snowfall (50 cm) was only accompanied by moderate winds. Nevertheless, a large avalanche broke loose on a 40cm N slope at Sulegg today. Probably triggered by ski tourers. Steep N slopes therefore remain tricky.

Overall impression

An absolute dream day in terms of weather and winter conditions. But the variants have to be chosen carefully. But there's still plenty of room in the Jungfrau Region. The Uf Spitzen and Schwarzhorn tours were done today. 2-3 tracks each. Reeti has not yet been done.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
