Snow condition
The snow conditions above 2000m are about average. Below that, however, well below average. Good up to Mürren, but the descent to Lauterbrunnen is closed.
Snow quality
The northern and eastern slopes were absolutely fantastic for skiing. In the summit area and above 2500m, the wind was very strong. On the northern slopes of the Wasenegg, the snow is simply perfect and there is still plenty of free space. The entire eastern flank of the Schilthorn and the Wirzenegg are barely skiable after large avalanches.
Risks
considerable. Large wind loads. tricky. However, the snow on the sunny slopes has already solidified and settled well.
Overall impression
Fantastic speedriding day on the Schilthorn. Birgfluh and Wasenegg were great. We also did tours from the Schilthorn, e.g. Hundshorn.
If you walk or fly a bit, you can still find plenty of untracked slopes. Near the cable car/slope, however, everything is covered.
