A thick blanket of snow all the way down to Lauterbrunnen. There is plenty in the variants.

Preserved powder on the northern slopes. As it has probably been rather calm all week and only got really warm today (10 degrees at 1600), soft snow can still be found even in the flatter northern sections. On the sunny slopes it's very damp and already rotten in places. Exposed east-facing slopes have a light sun cover.

Risks

The area is littered with fish mouths and sliding snow avalanches. The "Kanonenrohr" was closed from midday because an avalanche hit the piste. All the sunny slopes pick up energy during the course of the day and tighten up. On the north side, everything still looks calm.

It's a short day, as you spend a lot of time waiting for the gondola with lots of tourists on foot from near and far and don't get to ride. But the pleasure is still convincing and you look forward to tomorrow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
