Snow report Jungfrau Region, 02/22/2015
Finally fresh snow again... But there may be more. Yesterday as the first in White Hare, video on: www.facebook.com/freerideguidejungfrauregion
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Average. Nevertheless, the runs down to the valley floor (800m) are still possible in all exposures. There is approx. 30cm of compact snow in the valley and approx. 1.5m at the top
Snow quality
The snow that fell yesterday is of the best kind, without wind drifts. However, only just enough to stop you feeling the ground. But the old tracks are still visible. Below 1500m, the snow became increasingly wet and there was even a cap in the S exposure.
Risks
Moderate. Fresh snowfall without wind. Favorable snow cover build-up. The amount of fresh snow from Sunday was not yet critical, but more fronts are on the way, possibly with more wind. Nevertheless, a small board (10x10m) came loose yesterday when I was entering a steep couloir.
Overall impression
It's enough to have a great time, but there's more to come. Literature tip for the best freeride runs in the Jungfrau Region, or also for Davos Klosters: www.freerideguide.ch

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
