Snow report Jungfrau Region, 02/25/2015

An absolute hammer day, yesterday Wednesday 25.2.2015 after the fresh snow. But the sun already has a lot of power and limits the freeride possibilities quite quickly

Good down to the valley floor, but still slightly below average for the time of year. However, the variants are all fully skiable. The depth of fresh snow over the last few days has covered all the tracks and you can no longer feel the lower hard layer. Approx. 30-40cm of fresh snow since Saturday.

Yesterday in the early morning, absolutely the lightest powder in all exposures. Not even wind-pressed. However, the snow was already heavy in the late morning hours in the southern exposures and a cap was already forming in the afternoon. Still absolutely *****-worthy on the north side.

Risks

Considerable in all slope exposures. However, I was unable to observe any spontaneous avalanches. I also consulted with the piste service. None of the explosions caused any major avalanches. In this respect, the avalanche danger should be considered quite favorable, but still exercise the necessary caution in critical areas. Especially at north-facing terrain transitions into very steep slopes.

Hardly any people, hardly any tracks.... and tomorrow the fresh snow will cover all tracks again :-) Book tip with the best freeride runs in the Jungfrau Region: www.freerideguide.ch

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
