Snow report Jungfrau Region, 03/03/2016

Overall impression
Snow condition
Good on the north side down to the valley floor, approx. 40 cm of snow. Very good at the top, but heavily blown. Still rather below average for the season.
Snow quality
Partly windswept in the upper part. Very nice airy powder below 1800m. The fresh snow forecast for tomorrow and Sunday will fall with less wind. This means top conditions from Sunday.
Risks
considerably! In my opinion, the connections between the upper layers are favorable. So the precipitation always started at warm temperatures and the snow line gradually lowered. However, the extensive accumulations of drifting snow over the last few days should be noted. It was quite stormy. Yesterday I triggered a small snow slab at 1500m on the north side at a terrain transition. There was no danger. However, it showed how an accumulation of drift snow caused by the storm immediately came loose due to the additional load.
Overall impression
Currently 3 stars, outlook 4 stars! If it happens as the meteorologists predict
