Snow report Jungfrau Region, 03/07/2015
Slowly, the slopes have become bogged down... To still find untracked slopes, you need to walk up more and more, or use a paraglider... :-) see video: http://youtu.be/OypzlwrFdC0

Snow condition
The snow conditions are slowly becoming average. At an altitude of 2000m, the snow is meters high thanks to all the drift snow. It is still possible to ski down into the valley at 1000m on all exposures, but the days are numbered on the south side.
Snow quality
Beautiful powder last Friday, all untracked and no old tracks visible. But not quite as airy either. The snow was very compact due to the strong wind. On Saturday night, the breeze must have picked up again. Our tracks from Friday had all disappeared; above 1900, the snow was really wind-packed and crumbly in exposed places. But you can still find great powder on sheltered north-facing slopes. On the south side, the snow cover is already bearing.
Risks
Last Friday it was still very snowy due to the large amount of drifting snow. In the meantime, the situation has calmed down considerably and will continue to do so. Slowly but surely, you have to expect wet snow slides on the southern slopes in the afternoon.
Overall impression
Friday 4 stars Saturday 3 stars Sunday 3 stars and the good weather continues for another week... It hardly gets any better, but you can already enjoy beautiful spring firn on the southern slopes.
