Snow condition
Good at the top. However, the south-facing slopes are partly covered in snow up to 1800m. The descent to Stechelberg was also difficult. Sticky wet snow and in the lower part the skis even had to be taken off. However, the piste conditions in the ski area are very good up to Mürren and the snow conditions are good up to Mürren.
Snow quality
Good firn on the south side, very wind-pressed and crumbly on the north side. On the other hand, we still found very good snow on the wind-protected slopes west of Schneewige Licka. But from the bottom of the valley, the descent to Stechelberg was very difficult.
Risks
on the north side, as the foehn storm caused accumulations of drift snow. However, these are clearly visible and the situation will soon ease again.
Overall impression
On the north side, snow is now needed again to cover this layer of quarry resin. On the south side, there are fantastic spring conditions, provided you are in the right place at the right time. More freeriding tips:www.freerideguide.ch
