40 cm fresh snow

The glaciers are quite well snowed in, the snowfalls of the last 2-3 weeks have done well and improved the situation considerably. Since we've been back, there's been some more. The ascent from Fiesch was good, the descent to Blatten was easy with 3 unbuckles on the road

Snow quality

Powder snow

Since the snowfall from the middle of last week, powder in all exposures, partly slightly wind-affected but nice to ride

Risks

Much fresh snow
North North-Eas North-West

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

No spontaneous avalanches or other alarm signs observed, but caution is still advised due to the considerable amount of new and drifting snow. Glaciers are quite well snow-covered and easy to walk on with the usual precautions.

Four days of tours around the Konkordiaplatz. Tours were already at the end of last week, but didn't have access to the conditions report page until today, but the information and photos may still be of interest to one or the other. The weather windows were too short for the big destinations. As we were allowed to make new tracks every day and visibility was often limited, we climbed all the glaciated areas on rope, but were rewarded with beautiful powder runs. Not necessarily what we came here for, but you have to take it as it comes. On the last day, being all alone on the freshly snow-covered Konkordiaplatz and Aletschfirn in a magnificent morning atmosphere was already a 5* mountain experience. As soon as the weather stabilizes, you can still do some beautiful ski tours here.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
