Top firn conditions and some powder;)(Gross Wannenhorn).

Risks

Very relaxed during the period we were there. Of course, take into account the daily warming, also with regard to the risk of falling into crevasses!

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Impressive glacier world with great opportunities for tours of all levels of difficulty. The risk of falling through crevasses should not be underestimated. We passed holes where whole buses could disappear. The good snow conditions will last even longer, only the weather has to play along. We were out and about around the Konkordia and Finsteraarhorn huts. According to the hut manager, the conditions were the best week of the season. Ps: We went on another tour on the Simplon Pass on Friday, with good snow conditions from the pass. Lasts even longer. Here you can do good acclimatization tours for the higher ones.
