Snow condition

There is still plenty of snow at altitude. There was about 50 cm of fresh snow over the whole weekend, but it was very blowy. The descent to Mürren is closed and some of the snow has been blown away. But there were some who skied as far as Mürren. Via the piste or via the "Tschingelchrache" variant. There was a good 10 cm of fresh snow in Mürren.

Snow quality

Somewhat blown, but quite acceptable. The snow quickly became heavy on the south side.

Risks

In the high mountains, the risk of avalanches has increased considerably due to the strong winds. The assessment requires experience.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Winter is far from over in the Jungfrau Region. Next weekend, the Telemark-Only-Weekend will take place on the Schilthorn. Only freeheelers are allowed. Afterwards, the high mountains offer the best ski touring conditions. The descent into the Lötschental is also still very doable.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
