Exposition
Snow condition
Rope dragging for a walk. Both the notches and ridges are very easy to walk and easy to trudge along. The summit ridge to the large Grünhorn is well trodden and there are only a few climbing sections to master. The snow makes many ascents easier at present. The gully to the Fischersatteln is quite soggy and difficult to walk after 1 pm
Snow quality
Depending on the expo, fine firn from 11 a.m. on the west side only good around 12. On the north side, the powder was not warm but dusty fine and hardly sluffy.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
Wet snow from south-facing flanks.
Overall impression
A few meters of powder at the top on steep north-facing slopes and the best firn at the bottom. In between, broken snow and icy. But you can easily avoid this by switching to sunnier slopes. Currently very rewarding conditions, even for steep north-facing descents. Blank ice can only be seen in vain on snow-covered seracs and slopes.
