Best conditions around the Jungfrau region on the glaciers. Tours such as Mönch, Gross Grünhorn, Fiescherhörner and the Finsteraarhorn have been made in the last few days. At the moment you carry your skis for a good hour to Reckingen, great Sulz descent to Bächitäl
Snow quality
Today about 5cm of fresh snow, partly soaked snow cover, still good skiing, the expected fresh snowfalls in the next few days should again result in great spring descents into the Goms or the Lötschtental
Risks
The snow has settled well in the last few days. We expect another 10-20 cm of fresh snow in the coming days. The weather will improve from Friday and then conditions will be perfect again.
Overall impression
Best conditions on the glaciers and the high ski tours, the Jungfrau region in May is very easy to reach by train via Grindelwald to the Jungfraujoch, the Mönchjoch hut is open all the time; here you can set off on magnificent descents like the sea of ice; most of the huts are still open until Whit Monday, possibly for a few more days depending on the weather and the crowds! www.grindelwald-mountainguide.ch
