Snow condition

The snow cover above 1800 m is sufficiently good for freeride descents to be carried out without any problems. However, it is also crucial that the last big snowfall took place without strong winds and that there was already a base. And with the next cold front, which is forecast for tomorrow, the situation is likely to improve and cover the tracks. The downhill runs are officially closed, but are still possible/rideable. The Mettlen piste is also already very well covered with snow and the piles of snow are already well distributed for the most part.

Snow quality

On the south side, the November sun has already managed to form a crust. In the north sector, the snow has settled but is still really fluffy. On the valley descent, the snow is powdery right down to the valley, but the snow cover is thin and there is no base.

Risks

favorable. well set. good snowpack structure. little drifting during the last snowfall.

Fantastic start to the season. Almost better than the whole of last season. Let's hope the foehn doesn't set in, then more lifts and the valley runs will open soon.
I skied Lauberhorn, Salzegg and Haaregg today and hardly hit any rocks. Haaregg was clearly the favorite today.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
