Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne

The amount of snow is well above average for the time of year. No rock contact from the top down to the valley. However, the terrain is still somewhat uneven.

Snow quality

4 von 5 Sterne

Absolutely top. Somewhat settled, only knee-deep. Visibility was just ok and the snow has not yet been affected by the wind. However, some of the old tracks were covered.

Risks

Still good. But with the forecast foehn storm, there is likely to be a lot of snow. snow drifts. It will therefore be very tricky.

Overall impression

What a start to the season. Rode White hare for breakfast this morning. No tracks, no people, perfect conditions. But the foehn was already blowing hard on the eiger glacier.
The Jungfrau Region starts the season tomorrow. Downhill run to brandegg open, groomed and perfectly skiable below. Even better off-piste.
The Jungfrau Railways also transports touring skiers before the start of the season ;-)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
