New track opens up new possibilities

Snow condition
The first big snow from last week (80 cm was measured in the valley) has settled in the meantime. However, it should be a very good base on the whole mountain. The hollows are filled and the stones are covered. However, there is hardly any more snow at altitude than in the valley. In addition, the exposed slopes (Lauberhorn, Tschuggen, etc.) were completely blown off at the beginning of the week.
Snow quality
Where the wind came from, it's very rocky and sometimes windswept. But as soon as you get downwind, the snow is still really powdery, albeit a little settled. Below 1500m, the snow becomes really fluffy. Ice crystals have built up in the cold air lake on the valley floor. Fantastic for skiing right down to the valley floor.
Risks
The snow cover has stabilized very well in the last few days. Now new snow is falling this night. The bulletin is increasing slightly to considerable, especially in the northern sectors.
Overall impression
The conditions are absolutely perfect for the time of year. And the new 3S cable car opens up completely new possibilities. So yesterday I was able to ski 4 x White Hare in one morning. I was practically on my own. The slopes are not very busy at the moment. Today Männlichen opened up. This area was also not very busy today due to poor visibility. First will be open next weekend. Schilthorn is also (partially) open.
